Service Opportunities

New Member Requirements

Community service is any volunteer service you provide in our community. Students are expected to complete at least 5 hours of service per semester. Summer service hours will count toward Fall hours.

Service hours should be logged on this form and submitted to Mrs. McGilvray by the end of each semester to maintain eligibility. Make sure to get a certificate or signature from the adult leading the event to confirm your service. If you have a question about a service opportunity, email Mrs. McGilvray.

Below are some known service needs in our community. Please remember that we have 131 members in our chapter, so only sign up for one slot per volunteer opportunity.  Please remember to wear your SSMS NJHS

t-shirt to any NJHS volunteer event!
